She is absolutely stunning and having seen her at close quarters and with Bloodstock Agent Ed Sackville, who purchased her, giving such a glowing report, it was an absolute no brainer to put her on the team.
Her sire U S Navy Flag boasts one of the hottest families in the stud book. By War front, out of the four-time Group 1 winner Misty for Me, and a full brother to three-time Group 1 winner Roly Poly, his pedigree page makes for impressive reading.
Travelling to Newmarket in the Group 1 Middle Park S. after winning the G3 Curragh Round Table S. he upstaged his G1 Phoenix S. winning barn mate Sioux Nation in his maiden Group 1 victory, before backing up a fortnight later in the Group 1 Dewhurst S. in record-breaking time, becoming the first horse for 35 years, since Diesis, to land the Middle Park-Dewhurst double. U S Navy Flag returned at 3 to run second in the Irish 2,000 Guineas before dropping back in trip to win the Group 1 July Cup, in the process creating a unique piece of racing history by completing a Newmarket Group 1 triple crown.
Aiden O’Brien described U S Navy Flag as an ‘outstanding’ racehorse, stating, “speed is his biggest attribute but heart is his next biggest, he never lies down and is an amazing horse”.
However, it is not just the sire that makes our filly such an exciting acquisition. Her Dam Ibiza Dream has already bred one black type filly whilst her other daughter Ibiza Express won at 3 before commencing her second career as a broodmare showing the family can stamp class on their progeny when producing Group 3 winning Ottoman Emperor. Trained by Jonny Murtagh Ottoman Emperor was 2nd Fav for the 2021 St Ledger following his Group 3 winning performance in the Gordon Stakes @ Goodwood earlier this year.
This filly really is a stunner and we are extremely hopeful she will go on to have a very successful career both on the track and afterwards carrying forwards the excellent start her family has made with their progeny, she could very well go forward to become one of the best investments Roudee Racing has made to date.
