We recently purchased this filly from Dave Loughnane. A young trainer who has been having a lot of success in recent years. He has had a number of high profile winners at group level and also has had Royal Ascot success. His most famous horse to date being Go Bears Go.
This filly has been really standing out in her work at home, and we believe she has some class. She is very sharp and quick, she should be a 6/7 furlong horse as a two year old.
Her sire New Bay is out of the legendary Dubawi and his progeny excelled in 2022. With Bayside Boy, Bay bridge and Saffron Beach winning group 1 races.
She should be out racing in April /May
This colt is in training down in Lambourn and is the most forward of the 2-year-olds we currently have.
Over many years, as a syndicate and personally, we have had lots of success with Tom Dascombe at Chester Races. We issued Tom with a brief late last year to find us an early 2-year-old with the view to aiming it at the first 2-year-old race at the Chester May meeting the “Lily Agnes”. This is a race we have been very successful with in recent years and the early signs are this colt is heading in the right direction.
Speaking with Tom he thinks this colt is strong and tough and whilst looking at this stage like an early type he also has plenty of size to continue racing at 6 furlongs throughout the year.
We expect at this stage for this colt to be out mid to end of April 2023 and again one that we think has the potential to give us some great days out throughout the year.
This filly is in training down in Newmarket with Alice Haynes and the reports back are that she is doing well, she has plenty of size and scope about her and Alice reports “she has an active mind that I really like, as well as a bit of an attitude, she goes about her work well”.
Speaking with Alice she thinks this filly has a bit of an attitude and is showing a bit of class although this is early days in her career, she’s recently stepped up to a slightly stronger canter mainly up Warren Hill and she’s taken well to it. She’s yet to have a break as she’s wanting to work, which is a good sign so early in her career.
Because she has plenty of size and scope, again at this moment, we don’t think she’s an early 2-year-old. We believe she will be out end of May to early June 2023 and again at this stage she’s one that has the potential to take us to some nice meetings throughout the year.
